No Harmful Additives

Orchard Valley Soaps contain no animal oil, parabens, or Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

Most commercial soaps contain harsh chemical additives that help them hold form and later properly. Animal fats help soap hold their shape and SLS (Sodium laureth sulfate) is a detergent found in many commercial personal care product which acts as a very inexpensive and effective foaming agent.

Although SLS is considered safe in concentrations used in cosmetics, it is an irritant that increases with concentration and exposure and is considered by some to be a carcinogen.

By using palm and olive oils (the best soap base), coconut oil (wonderful lathering qualities) and spices and clays as the only additives, Orchard Valley Soaps produces a ethical, clean product that is biodegradable.
