Top 10 Uses for Tea Tree Oil

In 1930, Mr. EM Humphrey found that Tea Tree leaves contained an essential oil which showed antiseptic and bacterial properties 13 times stronger than carbolic acid: the accepted standard of the time.

Dr. Humphrey identified Tea Tree oil’s disinfectant action on the typhoid bacilli was sixty times greater than that of ordinary hand soap and Tea Tree in the 1940’s became standard issue in first aid kits for the Australian Armed Forces.

 Top 10 Uses for Tea Tree Oil

  1. Treat acne or prevent cold sores from spreading with a few drops of Tea Tree.
  2. Dissolve a wart by applying few drops every morning and every evening at bedtime.
  3. Clean cuts and scrapes with Tea Tree. 
  4. Clear congestion with a few drops in the bath or in a vaporizer.
  5. Boost cleaning in your clothes washer or to your dishwasher by adding a few drops.
  6. Use to treat head lice by making a Tea Tree spray.
  7. Make an all purpose household cleaner! (3 cups of water, two teaspoons of tea tree oil and two teaspoons of lemon essential oil.)
  8. Use Tea Tree to clean all surfaces and deter germs.
  9. Great travel antiseptic travel companion (especially on an airplane!).
  10. Stop any fungal infection by soaking feet in a tea tree bath and then apply directly to affected areas.

While Tea Tree Oil should never be ingested and is only rarely used without diluting it’s full strength, it’s practical applications are incredible!
